A bit about me
I’m from Brighton, and I learnt Mandarin at university. For the past few years, I’ve been helping people learn more about British culture. I’ve used all my experience to create a range of courses that will help you understand life in the UK.
My backstory
"Susie Woo" was actually my childhood nickname. The surname sounds Chinese, but it also sounds cute in English, which is why I chose it as the brand name!
When I was a student, I lived in Shanghai and Tainan for nearly three years. While I was there, I really enjoyed improving my Chinese and getting to know the local cultures.
The experience of living abroad and learning foreign languages inspired me to reflect on my own culture. I gradually realised that learning a language is inseparable from understanding the culture it belongs to.
As a result, I designed our English and British culture courses to help you gain an in-depth understanding of British culture while learning English. Through our courses, you’ll become more confident communicating in English and develop a deeper insight into British culture.
