Hello everyone! 

I am a native English speaker from the North East of Scotland, currently living in Glasgow. I love learning about new places and have spent 3+ years working and volunteering abroad, including a year spent studying in Malaysia. I have since worked and travelled in Central and South America whilst learning Spanish, so I know how it feels to adapt to a new place and language. I believe that cultural exchange is key to enjoying language learning - which basically means - I can’t wait to get to know you, and hear your stories!

I have been teaching adults and children since 2016, across a variety of subjects. My most recent highlights include: 

• 1+ years teaching an online academic skills course to young adults for Glasgow University. 

• 2+ years teaching and mentoring new student leaders at the University of Arts London. 

• Teaching English in 2024 to children aged 8-18 in Cañar, Ecuador.

My knowledge of English, academic skills and university life, is underpinned by my MSci (distinction) in International Relations and Global Issues, from the University of Nottingham. I am also currently completing an MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde, with a predicted distinction. I also have training in supporting neurodiverse students and students with disabilities.

In my spare time I love reading, writing and going to the cinema. Scotland is a very beautiful country and I like to go hiking in the mountains, when the weather allows! Scotland also has some unique cultural traditions that I love to talk about. I currently work with lots of international students and multicultural communities in Glasgow and, the good news is, they all say my Scottish accent is very soft and easy to understand!

我是一位來自蘇格蘭東北部的英文母語者，目前住在格拉斯哥。我熱愛認識新地方，曾在海外工作與志工服務超過三年，其中一年是在馬來西亞留學。之後我也曾在中美與南美旅行與工作，同時學習西班牙語，因此非常了解適應新環境與新語言的感受。我相信「文化交流」是享受語言學習的關鍵——也就是說，我非常期待認識你，聽聽你的故事！

自2016年以來，我一直教授成人與兒童，涵蓋各類主題。最近幾個重點經歷包括：

• 超過1年在格拉斯哥大學教授線上學術技能課程，對象為青年成人

• 超過2年於倫敦藝術大學教導並指導新任學生領袖

• 2024年於厄瓜多的卡尼亞（Cañar）教授8至18歲兒童英語

我對英語、學術技能與大學生活的理解，建立在我於諾丁漢大學獲得的「國際關係與全球議題」碩士學位（榮譽）之上。目前我也正在史特拉斯克萊大學（University of Strathclyde）修讀「創意寫作碩士」（MLitt），預計以優異成績畢業。同時，我也受過支持神經多樣性學生及身心障礙學生的專業訓練。

閒暇時，我喜歡閱讀、寫作與看電影。蘇格蘭是個非常美麗的國家，天氣允許時我常去登山健行。蘇格蘭也有許多獨特的文化傳統，我很樂於與人分享。目前我與許多國際學生及多元文化社群合作，值得一提的是，他們都說我的蘇格蘭口音非常柔和、容易理解！
